F. A. Q.

Here are some of the questions I sometimes receive from people who use my mods or visit my Flickr, so I decided to post answers in one place for everyone curious about this to see them. I will update this F. A. Q. list as I climb up the ladder of my blogging career xD

Q.: Can I use your stuff in my gem of a mod?

A.: Please don't.

Q.: How do you make your Oblivion characters so beautiful / handsome?

A.: First of all, I don't use the vanilla head. I advise that you replace it as soon as possible and forget it like your worst nightmare. I do have a deep respect for Bethesda, but the character design is not particularly their forte, especially when it comes to Morrowind and Oblivion. I myself use Oblivion Character Overhaul v.2 by nuska in Room207's rendition for all my Oblivion characters of vanilla races and a modified version of Dhampir race by TES-Diesel modding team for my main character. In the character creation screen I start with resetting the face and then mash the "Randomize" button until I get bored or until I get a decent base face which I then start shaping. This method can cause skin colouration issues, so I use skin tone and beard tone (yeah, even for females) sliders to get it right. That's all that there is to it really. As you can see, the tricks are pretty simple even though some sound crazy xD But they work for me.

Q.: Your screenshots look cool. How do you make our good old Oblivion shine?

A.: I don't use that many mods, actually. But I plan to post my mod list with commentaries in this blog. Stay tuned.

Q.: Do you photoshop your screenshots?

A.: Yes. However, I only do minor edits like neck seam removal if a character needs this or fixing bodyparts and hair clipping with poses. I also sometimes smoothen blocky shadows, but honestly, most of the time I'm too lazy to bother with it. I never use color correction or filters unless it's a blog cover, so apart from the small edits I've mentioned above, what you see in my screenshots is what I see in-game.

Q.: Can you share your characters?

A.: Not now. Thing is, I don't know how to make custom companions (for myself I replace the existing ones) and that some of them use custom races made by other people that I can't republish within my mod for obvious reasons. Some of my chars use vanilla race copies with OCO though, so I might share them in the future if I find a way to do so. I still have a lot to learn, but I hope  more stuff of various kinds in coming to be in this blog.

Q.: Do you take requests?

A.: No, sorry. I never fulfill them, so I'd rather not promise.

Q.: You should make this and this, and change that and that in your mod, or I won't download it!

A.: Grand, thank you for your input. Move along.

Q.: You suck, and your mods suck, and your images suck, and you copy Elianora, I hate you!

A.:
